Meet Loraine Thompson
M.S. Interior Design, Allied ASID
Loraine enjoys fulfilling her client's visions for their homes. She has a keen eye for color and uses light and texture as an artist uses paints. She is equally comfortable working in traditional, eclectic, transitional, and contemporary styles.
Loraine particularly enjoys working with textiles, designing custom draperies, bedding, and decorative pillows and throws with turn-key service through delivery and installation. Beautiful master bedrooms can be affordable, allowing clients a one-of-a-kind dream retreat.
After spending a number of years in custom home design and sales, she returned to her design career, spending time as a design consultant for the prestigious furniture maker, Ethan Allen. She is experienced in kitchen and bath remodeling planning and has a knowledge of the sources and use of exotic granites and marbles. Custom architectural detailing and space planning are also among Loraine's areas of expertise.
"Style, scale and historic reference are so important in selecting furniture and accessories, so that things flow seamlessly and the user of the space enjoys the overall effect of the room without needing to be aware of the parts; i.e., the whole is greater than the sum of the parts."
In her early career, Loraine designed for a store planning firm listed in the top 100 Design firms in the USA, as well as a large architectural / engineering firm in Houston..
